Bitforge on Creative Thursday
The computer games industry has risen to become the cultural sector with the highest turnover. In Switzerland, sales have quadrupled since 2004, and in 2009 they already amounted to CHF 380 million. In order to discuss the prospects of this up-and-coming economic sector, the Pro Helvetia Cultural Foundation, together with the City of Zurich’s Economic Development Agency and the Zurich Economic Development Agency, invites you to the “Creative Zurich Wednesday” as part of its “GameCulture” program. On:
Wednesday, November 17 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cabaret Voltaire, Spiegelgasse 1, in Zurich
Pius Knüsel, Director of Pro Helvetia, will moderate the high-caliber panel of experts. His discussion partners are:
* Martina Groeschel, Project Manager Interactive Media / Creative Industries, MFG Baden-Württemberg (MFG has been committed to promoting media, information technologies and films in Baden-Württemberg for 15 years)
* Thomas Frey, Art Director GIANTS Software, Zurich (the agricultural simulator from GIANTS is the most successful Swiss game with over half a million sales)
* Reto Senn, COO bitforge AG, Rapperswil (with the game ORBITAL for the iPhone, the young game company bitforge was able to land an international hit)
