ByeByeMosquito

For us, mosquitoes are just annoying insects. They itch, they scratch, they bite. In other countries, however, mosquitoes are the cause of a serious disease: malaria. To draw attention to this, World Vision is launching a new game developed by us for World Malaria Day. “ByeByeMosquito” has a simple goal. To squash as many mosquitoes as possible.

“ByeByeMosquito” was created on behalf of World Vision for World Malaria Day on April 25, 2012. “Bitforge allows us to draw the public’s attention to the issues of development cooperation in a playful way,” says Giovanni Miraglia from World Vision. And help is also the focus of “ByeByeMosquito” as well as “Amanzivision”. With “ByeByeMosquito”, WorldVision Switzerland and Bitforge are now going one step further, as Jean-Daniel Roth, Digital Media Team Leader at World Vision Switzerland, explains. “While the wells were financed by corporate sponsors, we are now involving the game community. After successfully completing the game, players have the opportunity to donate five francs for a mosquito net and save a child’s life in real life.
