We are particularly proud of this announcement: together with the “Access for All” foundation, we have launched the “Digital Inclusion Academy”, a holistic initiative for digital accessibility.

We are particularly proud of this announcement: together with the “Access for All” foundation, we have launched the “Digital Inclusion Academy”, a holistic initiative for digital accessibility. Our joint offering includes training and consulting services ranging from accessibility basics to legal guidelines and tools to make digital products and services accessible to all. Our declared aim is to make digital accessibility the standard and firmly anchor it in the mainstream.
Foundation and goals of the "Digital Inclusion Academy"
The “Access for All” foundation and Bitforge AG are jointly establishing a new specialist center for digital inclusion in Zurich: the “Digital Inclusion Academy” (DIA). We are taking a holistic approach to digital accessibility and offering practical training for professionals as well as individual support and advice for companies. Among other things, the educational offering includes courses that demonstrate in a practical way how designs can be made accessible or how legal certainty can be ensured in accordance with European legislation. At the Digital Inclusion Academy, we aim to close the gaps in the accessibility of digital products by imparting relevant specialist knowledge. There is a need in the market: A recent study by “Access for all” shows that only one in five Swiss apps is fully accessible for people with disabilities.
A comprehensive center for digital accessibility
With the “Digital Inclusion Academy”, we offer a one-stop store for all digital accessibility issues, both for web and mobile solutions. We support companies in achieving accessibility in existing and planned digital projects and are committed to as a pioneer in promoting digital inclusion throughout Switzerland.
Training and advice
The offer of the “Digital Inclusion Academy” includes
- Practical training courses: Taught by experts and users of digital assistance technologies, our training courses provide know-how and practical skills for designing and developing accessible solutions.
- Individual advice: We advise and support companies and specialists in all matters relating to digital accessibility, offer selective support or conduct in-house training on specific topics.
Step-by-step approach for accessibility
The Academy uses a step-by-step model to pick up and support interested parties regardless of their current level of knowledge. In this way, we ensure an easy introduction to the topic and provide targeted support for specialists.
Call for cooperation
“It’s high time to bring digital accessibility into the mainstream!” – With this guiding principle, Markus Böni, co-founder and head of the “Digital Inclusion Academy”, calls on companies and experts to join the movement and make the digital space more inclusive. We are convinced that an inclusive and AA-compliant digital world is possible and invite everyone to join us on this journey.
We are open to partnerships with other institutions. Become our partner as a provider or cooperate with us and other providers. Together we can create an inclusive and diverse educational landscape.
