“little FOOBY”: Major update for the popular cooking app
We are all going through very unusual times at the moment. The corona crisis has paralyzed public life to a large extent and Bitforge is also working from home without exception. Nevertheless, we are of course as productive as usual and proudly announce the release of the major app update for FOOBY: little FOOBY.
little FOOBY: Cooking with children
As part of the recently launched campaign, the FOOBY app has also been given a major update and now features the additional “little FOOBY” category. The new section is specially designed for children and ensures that even the little ones have fun in the kitchen.
Depending on age or experience, recipes with different levels of difficulty can be cooked. Illustrations ensure that the instructions are fun and easy to understand, and the steps that children can best help with are highlighted in color. This guarantees that cooking together does not become a stress test for parents either.
Challenges in app development
Of course, every major app release has its own challenges, and no app project is without its pitfalls. When integrating “little FOOBY”, Andreas Hüppi’s development team faced the challenge of expanding the app to include a new category with a similar structure while keeping the code as lean and efficient as possible. This was to ensure the app’s high performance and smooth experience.
“The tight schedule in particular presented us with repeated challenges. Nevertheless, the project was great fun and we are all super happy with the result! “, says Andreas Hüppi.
