First commercial augmented reality app in Switzerland

The new Atelier Pfister app for iPhone and iPod Touch is now available. The app was designed and realized in close collaboration between Bitforge, vanija and visualcontext.

The user-friendly application allows users to view selected designer products in their personal space – in 3D. The app focuses on around 70 items from the areas of eating, sleeping, living and working. All products have been prepared in 3D and can be rotated or scaled as required. And the best thing is: with the augmented reality function “Place furniture” – simply take a photo of a room of your choice, place the product and your new home is ready to furnish. The only thing missing is a visit to the nearest Pfister store, which can be easily found via the app.
It goes without saying that the app also includes information on the 13 designers and community links such as e-mail or Facebook.

The Atelier Pfister app for iPad is now also available. New functions include a design adapted to the iPad and the option of transferring previously created images from the iPhone to the iPad. “The application really comes into its own on the iPad. Thanks to the larger screen, we were able to make the application more spacious and thus emphasize the design of the products even better,” says COO Reto Senn. The application has been released as a universal binary so that customers who own an iPhone and an iPad do not have to download the application again.
