FOOBY is THE Swiss cooking app. With hundreds of thousands of downloads and active users, it is a success story from A to Z and has become an integral part of Swiss kitchens.
In cooperation with Coop and other project partners, we developed and successfully implemented a sophisticated tech stack for one of the most widely used Swiss apps.

A mobile app the size of FOOBY requires a solid technological foundation that remains highly performant even with large numbers of users, meets the latest security requirements and is flexible enough to allow regular release cycles.
With FOOBY, we rely on a well thought-out connection concept to be able to communicate intelligently and efficiently with Coop’s various peripheral systems and a front end based on the Flutter cross-platform framework. This best meets the requirements for performance, code sharability and usability.
The app resulting from this tech stack is a racehorse that is second to none – regardless of the current number of users.
“Agile by Bitforge” is when we join forces with our project partners and clients to form an interdisciplinary team and approach our own agile rule set sprint by sprint towards an MVP, which is continuously developed and perfected.
At FOOBY, the agile project structure consisted of representatives from Coop, the design agency Obvious and our specialists.
