BOSA 2023: Bitforge honored again this year
Last Thursday, the Best of Swiss App Awards took place as they do every year. Bitforge was once again at the forefront with several projects. Among others, there was gold for our Yago Deck garden planner!

Our garden planner Yago Deck won gold at the Best of Swiss App Awards. We also picked up two silver awards for the Strickhof app – in the Design and User Engagement categories. ZVV ARna won bronze in the Functionality category.

BOSA Gold for the future of web stores
The current version of the garden plan Yago Deck shows the possibilities of WebXR for web stores. This demonstrates the possibilities of WebXR for a web store that works entirely in augmented reality. Products (in the case of Yago Deck plants) can be selected from a catalog and placed directly together and next to each other in the room. Products can then be removed or new ones added. The shopping cart is constantly updated. Once the user is satisfied with the furnishings, they can go straight to the shopping cart and checkout.

This type of AR shopping is revolutionary and has never been possible before. It will be particularly exciting when the Apple Vision Pro becomes available. Yago Studio – our AR tool for various applications – already works perfectly in VisionOS to place individual models in augmented reality.
In the future, it will also be possible to use Apple’s AR glasses together with Yago Assistance and Yago Scenes. BOSA Silver for the Strickhof App
Our tool for the Strickhofthe Zurich competence center for agriculture, food and home economics, won silver in two categories. Firstly, for its clean and well-thought-out design and in the User Engagement category. The tool for (prospective) farmers accompanies them not only on campus, but also at home with useful tips, advice and an expert chat for all questions about home and farm. BOSA Bronze for ARna
The functionality of our VBZ ARna app has also been recognized. The app helps users to find their way around better with the help of augmented reality. From finding the stop to current messages about possible disruptions and help with changing trains, the app offers a number of features that make traveling by public transport easier.
